it's okay. if there is no dep file, there are no deps for that extension, cairo doesn't have deps.

I'll add the .dep file for cairo, I didn't at first since cairo is almost exclusively used within gtk2 which does fetch all the needed dependencies.

Wait a minute, cairo already has a .dep file.  It is visible in the appbrowser as well as the web page.  I thought I was losing my mind.  Where did you get the link?  Because your link has "tce" twice in it when it only is supposed to have one.  Here is the .dep file:
