a problem

hi, i'm thehatusa and i like to prove diferent flavors of linux in my old pc, 'cause i like the efficience.
my first linux was puppy linux, but i didn't like it 'cause the system became fragile after install anything. after that i prove slitaz linux 1.0 and with that distro i learned a lot of little things about linux. slitaz is in my pc until today, and i wan't to preserve it a long time more.

but i wanna to prove anyway this new system. first, it boot in 10 seconds from the CD!!!!!! wow. simply magnifique. it looks very well. but i have a problem that i don't know if it's really important. when the X starts the colors of the things in desktop changed from the original. the background looks ...red~purple, and the jwm bar, the emelfm2 icon and buttons, the things that i can see in firefox, etc. when i open links -g all the desktop turns into more extrange colors than the others until i minimize links -g. when i maximize it, the problem is back.

i think it will be a not important bug, 'cause the same thing happened in DSL, but only in the wallpaper, not in the buttons of the wm or inside the windows.

i forgot a thing, i proved tiny core linux 1.3

installing xvesa.tce from the appbrowser may help, then you may want to "exit to prompt" (see exit options in the menu) and run xsetup.sh from there.

that's usually sufficient, but there's also a xorg extension if you really want to (or need to) get it bloated.

I have some cards that behave that way, and using the 800x600x16 xvesa mode usually helps.

someone posted a xorg.conf on the forum that might help you if you know how to edit it.
