Is TC a good distro for this...

Hi guys. I am a big fan of Robert's work from his DSL days. Awesome distro.

Anyway I am having a problem because I don't have any Windows or 32 bit Linux machines at  the moment and I need skype. I tried various Winbloze under VBox and the mic input doesn't work. I have a 10 year old laptop with 512M of RAM, fast Celeron processor and a dead HD. Can I use TC to [easily] to setup a diskless machine just to run skype? Thanks for the help.

vinnie:
hum, I used Skype until two weeks ago.
I do not know from the repository but from the officiale site just download and unzip the statically compiled version.

Guy:
See if Tiny Core is able to boot from a usb drive on that computer. If it is, you can run it from a usb drive.

Another option to consider is to run it from cd.

new2tc:
Thanks guys. I'll burn a CD and give it a try. Damn thing doesn't boot from USB. Does TC create a ramdisk when booting from CD and can I control the size?

MikeLockmoore:
I used the statically-compilied Skype on a ASUS eeePC 1000 netbook (audio and text chat only) under TC.
