Extensions, Tor + Firefox
« on: February 12, 2011, 10:50:22 PM »
Hi Folks,

I don't quite understand how extensions work and how to keep them.

I am currently running tcl in virtual box.  My goal is to install tor and firefox.

I was trying to follow the how-to:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/download_howto.html

However, the options I get are OnBoot, OnDemand, Download + Load, and Download Only.  Is my version newer?  Out of date?

Also, in the control panel, I do not see an option so "Select TCE Drive".

I know this is probably simple.  Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
NMNL

Hi NoMoreNoLess
I'm afraid that howto is out of date. I suggest you leave it set to OnBoot for now until you
become more familiar with TCL. You can easily change apps to OnDemand later from
the control panel. To the right of the Go button on AppBrowser the field should read
/mnt/sda1/tce/optional. Replace sda1 with the drive you want to save your apps on.
TCL will search for /tce/optional directory on any drive it finds and mount your apps
automatically when it boots. Don't forget to click the set button if you change the TCE: field.
