Good day,

Using Appbrowser in Local mode, I tried to install vlc.tcz,  and I'm getting this error.

mount: mounting/dev/loop31 on tmp/tcloop/recode failed: Invalid argument

Using TC 3.3 installed on a 4GB USB key. Persistence.

Any clues? help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hmmm, sounds a bit difficult to tell from here, but maybe more could be learned if you would use tce-load -i vlc.tcz from a shell (which should be equivalent to what you've attempted via the GUI) and post the results back here.

Or, to go even further in the troubleshooting, run: sh -vx /usr/bin/tce-load -i vlc.tcz > log 2>&1 and attach the resulting 'log' file here.

I get this from time to time when an extension has been corrupted. Delete the relevant one and download a fresh copy. Could also be one of the dependencies.

To jur: I've downloaded fresh versions of recode.tcz, and vlc.tcz but I got the same results...  but thanks for the suggestion.

You were right from the get-go.  I checked the MD5 checksums of vlc.tcz and I've found the errors (incomplete download; also in recode.tcz and tk.tcz).

Sorry guys, for wasting your valuable time.

Just a random thought, wouldn't be nice incorporate checksum comparison right into Appbroswer, in order to weed out such errors. Just an idea.

Thanks again, TC rocks!
