Tiny Core and lttng?

Has anyone out there tried using lttng with tiny core?  lttng is a tool that does tracing in the kernel - it is basically a kernel patch and a couple of tools. 

I got the patched 2.6.33.3 tiny core kernel, donwloaded it, added the lttng patch, did the menuconfig to add in the lttng support, and the kernel compiled successfully.  (before this I sucessfully built and booted the tinycore kernel just for a baseline).  When I add lttng, bootup goes all hokey.

Anyone tried this?
