Is the WICD package broken?

I've used wicd on tc in the past, but today I tried installing it and it wouldn't run. I did sudo wicd-sart of course, but I try to run the gui it just doesn't start - nothing happens. I also tried it on a clean tc install to see if it is my setup, but the same thing happens. Anybody else experiencing this?
