i have some pdf. It have a 541kB. I installed abiword-plugins.tcz to my abiword.

Abiword is frozen! Even after 5 min is still dead. i killed it only by Task Manager (lxtask? )... Pressing of x on abiword window is not have effect.

ok. i'm searching other pdf-viewers..... xpdf?

I tested gsview with the 12MB iPhone user manual - it worked fine...

yes! gsview is better! icon, menu, even russian language file, but russian is  in strange symbols like windingsfonts..... 'cuz tcl is not support russian from box....

Abiword is not a PDF reader, when opening one it converts it to its own format, so that it can be edited. And that is slow.

I like epdfview ;)

About the fonts, there are some font extensions (Dejavu, Liberation, Bitstream Vera). Installing them might help with the unknown symbols.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

I'm generally happy with epdfview also, although it doesn't seem to have an option to show the whole document at once and has gtk2 dependency (which some people don't like).

Xpdf is a possible alternative, but it wasn't able to display a recently posted pdf that I wanted to read. There may have been a change or upgrade to pdf formats that Xpdf can't handle.

I'm also trying gsview. So far it works OK. Info says it's not intended for printing though.
