where is a clock?

You can install jwm the same way as installing other programs.

If you are using Tiny Core, that's all you need to do.

If you are using Microcore, remove flwm.

thanks! now i have flit - little prog, like a part of jwm (  ) and xclock.

i switchoff battery status, 'cause i use my laptop only with dc-adaptor and w/o sound indicator - i can't install oss.tczm....

Install the jwm.tcz extension using AppBrowser and reboot.  flwm is not actually removed, but it will not be activated.  flwm is really small (< 50K plus a few scripts), so it's probably not worth trying to remove, but you could build up a configuration of MicroCore perhaps.

Sorry, my understanding is that all you need to do is install the jwm.tcz and reboot. 

Other TC experts, does nickispeaki need to add:

   desktop=jwm

To the boot options?  Or do something else?

Adding jwm.tcz extension to your persistent tce dir should be enough to to use JWM.  Using the bootcode would attempt to force JWM, and may produce an error that can be checked in /tmp/wm_errors.

as i see, it's not enough!
after rebooting i have only flwm, not jwm!

If you have not updated your .xsession or .profile it will not work.

cp /etc/skel/.profile /home/tc/.profile
cp /etc/skel/.xsession /home/tc/.xsession

Kingdomcome, roberts:  I tried to install jwm.tcz, reset my .xsession and .profile with the defaults in /etc/skel/ and reboot... and I am still in flwm.     /tmp/wm_errors is empty.  I do see jwm.tcz in my list of extensions in the control panel stats applet.  So I seem to have the same problem nickispeaki has.
