Hi again: Since I have not received one response to my post. Please can someone tell me why it takes so long
to bring the extensions from armv7.x to armv8.x?
1. What are the main reasons why extensions need so much work for bringing them over to armv8.x?
2. Can I use Tiny Core 7.x source code for compiling to armv8.x in piCore_8 ?
3. I brought over geany editor over from armv7.x to armv8.x, tested it and it works. I reported it to the maintainer (gutmensch) but still not in 8.x repo?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Developers are using their free time to work on the TC. Main goal is to offer a reliable, efficient and up to date core system. Same is valid for piCore. Available resources depend on job, family, etc. As it was stated previously, Xorg stuff is in beta test phase. Due to many changes in the system, 6.x/7.x repo is not copied over as it is. However, if you find old tcz is working for you, use it.
User contribution with NEWLY BUILT, UPDETAD packages welcome.
Gutmensch is dealing with x86 stuff, not 8.x
