services on desktop is grey but running
« on: September 07, 2016, 10:34:27 AM »
Not urgent..just need to know
At this moment I have 6 services indicated by gui services under system tools.
crond >> is off and the button is grey --no problem
dhcpd >> is off and the button is grey --no problem
openssh >> is on and the button is green --no problem
tftpd  >> is off and the button is grey --no problem

Other 2 services is different. I can click it to green but flashes back to grey.
no-ip >> is on but the button is grey ( I still can ssh over internet)
samba >>  is on but the button is grey ( I still can copy paste via local network)

Not really a problem since I did install gui by mistake.
But I dont want to remove or disable it now...

Thanks

Yeah, not all init scripts are compatible with the GUI.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
