wireless
« on: October 14, 2014, 01:40:35 AM »
The wireless.sce prebuilt extensions have been updated in wheezy, saucy, jessie, and trusty.  The wifi package has been added, as wells as ndiswrapper and unzip.  Unzip is useful in extracting drivers from .EXE files for ndiswrapper.  The ndiswrapper modules have also been updated and added, the package from Core did not work and required a rebuild against the newest ndiswrapper from upstream to work in dCore.  Files are available from the relevant directories in the below:

http://tinycorelinux.net/5.x/x86/sce/

Hopefully this provides a fully available wireless capability for dCore that is available with a simple download of needed files.

When I call ''ndiswrapper -l'' on ub-dCore-trusty, I get the following (Perl) error message:
Code: [Select]
Can't locate File/Basename.pm in @INC (you may need to install the File::Basename module) (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.18.2 /usr/local/share/perl/5.18.2 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.18 /usr/share/perl/5.18 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at /usr/sbin/ndiswrapper-1.9 line 21.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/sbin/ndiswrapper-1.9 line 21.
I do not know anything about Perl modules but it seems to me that this is a general problem. Jason, would you please take a look at it?

I remember seeing this too at one point, I forgot how I fixed it but I will revisit it.

I don't see this on my ub-dCore-trusty install.  Perhaps there is a dependency missing that I have already installed on my box.
