hi jason,

there must be something wrong with my usbstick-live-setup...
you remember that iceweasel and icedove weren't updated as long as there was an old package in the local rep?
so what do you recommend me to do?
in my setup are at least dpkg, coreutils, debconf or the avahi-packages, but there is no update-request :-(

thank you for your help.

Oh, there is only one flagargument accepted in the dCore utilities, it is by design.  It would be "sce-update -ac".

But that would not cause what you are seeing.  Maybe if the read/write access of the /etc/sysconfig/tcedir directory is wrong the DEBINX files are not getting updated.

hi jason,

"sce-update -ac" doesn't change the situation :-(

Run sce-import or sce-update, to make sure you have synced, then issue the below commands:

sudo md5sum /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/debian_jessie_main_i386_Packages

sudo md5sum /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/debinx.jessie-security

hi jason,

even "sce-update -a" started no update-process.

so i reimported my packages with

sce-import -s -u 000-base-jessie
sce-import -s -u 100-desktop-jessie
sce-import -s -u 200-multimedia-jessie

some few packages were downloaded in this process,
probably they were purge with sce-debpurge, cause there were outdated...

tc@box:~/.TCE$ sudo md5sum /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/debian_jessie_main_i386_Packages
d431ae1695ecc9c80ab2694556e1ad51  /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/debian_jessie_main_i386_Packages
tc@box:~/.TCE$ sudo md5sum /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/debinx.jessie-security
d2d9dfe68368946b5eda8aac0724c274  /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/debinx.jessie-security

thank you for your help.

Those are the same md5's that I have.  Things should be working.

hi jason,

thank you for your reply.
perhaps jessie is just so stable now...
perhaps you want to consider to start with dCore-stretch? ;-)

thank you for your work and commitment.

Things are so fast changing in Debian Testing until they get in the ballpark of gearing up for a release that there needs to be at least some things like glibc and other base libs anchored before there will be any good experience using a dCore version of it.  I will keep an eye on it and provide a base when the time comes.
