tce compiling howto
« on: June 13, 2014, 09:07:09 AM »
As mentioned in the prior post, I've got a pretty basic TC system up and running, but now I want to add some software not currently found in the repo.  I've done a quick search to find some howto's, but I have only found one that seem relevant:

http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?topic=11972.0

Is this the suggested way to build extensions for TC?  Are there any other howto's or tips for building packages?

As a side note, I have seen mentions of mplayer-nodeps in the repo, but I can't seem to find it.  Is there something I need to do in order to have it become available?

Thanks,
Dave

Both the wiki and book include guides on making extensions. Mplayer-nodeps has not yet been built for 5.x.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Thanks for the info curaga - no clue why neither of those sources came up in my search.  At any rate, I'll include the current link below for anyone that comes across this post:

Any idea on when mplayer-nodeps will be created for the 5.x build?

Thanks,
Dave
