autologin as root
« on: May 16, 2014, 08:19:18 AM »
Hi Communtity :)

i am new at tinycore.

I want to use tinycore as a backup linux. i only need e terminal and some autostarted bash-scripts.
But it is necessary to be a root.

I know, how to edit the core image.

Is there a howto or anybody know a way to login as root at boottime and not as tc user?

I have already tryed out to modify the inittab but theres also some adduser commands in the /etc/tc-config .. so my knowledge is to small to get it work :(

It is a bad practice to login and use system as root by default. Logon as ordinary user and use sudo only when necessary.

It already does an auto login as root.
It is root's .profile that switches to tc.

Please see the bootcodes (superuser).
