Ok, and actually I was going to put the function of the -s option into the default behavior, I will put it in soon as it does not have a noticable performance or size cost.

The "-s" option being the default behavior, that is the storing of md5sums of both custom and Debian packages in /usr/local/importmd5sum/ to allow update checking is updated in git.  Look for it in the next release.
