vboxmouse issues

I'm running TC under VBox 4 and trying to use the vboxmouse driver. It's giving me problems where the mouse clicks don't work until after the 4th click event. I saw this thread (
http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,5033.0.html
) on the forum and got the problem fixed by adding the evdrv and modifying xorg.conf. But I am wondering if this is still necessary or what is causing the issue?
Host: Win7

try latest virtualbox additions
before that you need to update your tc system because you are using an old kernel
