Joystick setup; howto? (usb 12bd:a02f)

hello,
"starfighter" in TCL is nice with the keyboard but I would like to use an usb joystick.
So, I loaded the extension input-joystick. But there is no reaction at all (core 4.3.1).
Im sticking in my current project how to install the joystick... and further searching how to do it.
Any advice is welcome.

Have you tried unplugging and replugging it to see if it gets detected that way?

according dmesg, it is recognized at boot and with unplug/plug.
I just can use the keyboard (keys "space" "up" "down" "left"..) but no reaction with the joystick.
