[4.1] mnttool: illegal instruction

mnttool does not start, it says: illegal instaruction on a amd k6-2 333MHZ
the same problem trying to put an extension onboot in appsaudit, the program crashes: illegal instruction

I have similar behaviour (except no messages at all).
Microcore4.1 and xorg74 (AMDK6-III 550MHz; see my signature):
- "mnttool &" in .xsession dont start.
- clicking mnttool icon dont make it starting.
TCL4.1 so far ok.

Sounds like a different problem. Microcore is not Tinycore. To quote roberts:

microcore + Xlibs.tcz + Xprogs.tcz + Xvesa.tcz + flwm_topside.tcz + wbar.tcz = tinycore

I'm guessing you may be missing something to the left of the = sign that mnttool needs to run.

Update:
1) "illegal instruction" with mnttool in mc4.1 + Xlibs.tcz + Xprogs.tcz + Xorg74.tcz + flwm_topside.tcz + wbar.tcz on the AMD K6-III
2) same issue with tcl4.1 on this AMD K6-III
3) no issue with mnttool in mc4.1 + Xlibs.tcz (older from 4.0.2) + Xprogs.tcz (older from 4.0.2) + Xorg76.tcz + flwm_topside.tcz + wbar.tcz (older)+ other..tcz on the AMD K6-III.    then  I updated this latest one.. and mnttool cannot start anymore.
4) no issue on an ASUS bicore (2 years modell) and tcl4_1.
So, it seems to be hardware related. Perhaps I will have to go back to 3.8.4.

since there is no proposal for this issue, and before I go back to 3.8.4 (or should I go to 4:2?), I have a new question:

 what is the command line to list the available devices? (sda.. sdb.. srx..)

(for the mount/dismount of the drive with command line, I will have a look in general mount/dismount topics with google)

Its the hardware.  AMD K6. You can try 4.2 as compile time options were adjusted to try to support older gear.
4.2 was tested on 586 but no one on team has AMD K6

To list mounted drives, "mount". To see mountable drives, "cat /etc/fstab".

Getting the same illegal instruction on a Toshiba 300 cdt which has a pentium 166... No messages in dmesg either. Let me know if You want to know more.

I personally went back to 4.0.2.
And Im waiting for 4.2 rc2 with a working mc + xorg76 because it goes from 800x.. to 1026x.. pixels.
If it dont work, I will freeze my old box with the 4.0.2 and never change again (4.0.2: error "rtc" on boot and xorg74 hanging sometime but I could not determine when exactly; but I think this is the last fast and working distro what I can get for the AMD K6-III desktop).

It works again with 4.2 rc2.
After the official release is done, I will make the 4.2 as active version on my desktop, not load the Xprogs on boot (only ondemand).. and freeze this desktop project (AMD K6-III).
4.2 rc2 is a great; I like it.
I will not get much more out of this machine.
