This extension also works for 3.x.

Any conflict with getflash10? Should that be removed before downloading getflash11?

the getflash extensions themselves should not conflict, but you don't want to have the resulting flash10.tcz and flash11.tcz installed at the same time, as they do conflict.  It simply means that whichever one is loaded first, then that is the version of flash you will be running.

In the past, folks needed a reason for a particular version of flash, like I think flash 7 that did not depend on gtk2.  So the getFlash extension will be available for the different versions.  Otherwise, we could simply name it "getflash.tcz" and just download the latest.  But experience has shown that for various reasons it is always better to leave in a choice of version.

Hello

Great. The latest Flash can't be a bad thing for TCL....right.

A lot of web browsers get fussy about Flash...or should i say, web sites get fussy. Web sites often need to
have the very latest flash and browser. So, to have the latest browser and latest Flash is very good for Tcl. At least
you know everything is up to date. I use Opera 11 and it's pretty much doing fine.

thanks

V.

I have a minor problem with Flash 11 on Opera 11. Every time I'm looking on video it starts fine but after a few minutes the image gets choppy (not sound, it's ok). This doesn't happen with Firefox.

Hi uggla
It sounds like it's dropping frames in order to keep up with the video. Run  top  and then play a
video. Check if anything else is using excessive CPU cycles or RAM. Watch the  %MEM  and  %CPU
columns.

Hi, there is a bug in actual extension. The quick and dirty solution is:
- MIRROR="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/11.1.102.55/"
Adobe has changed the link maybe.
