Hi

I am new to TC which seems great! and I am pretty new to building apps from the terminal.

I am trying to run Shairport-sync which is a linux airplay 2 receiver on a virtualbox Vm of TC in a Mac mini.

I have managed to get TC running in a VM(PC) and set up openssh so I can more easily manage the installs.

The problem I have is the installation instructions are really for Debian and I am struggling with

1) all the dependancies installing correctly
2) building shairport sync, the make thing?

https://github.com/mikebrady/shairport-sync/blob/master/BUILD.md

I know I could install picoreplayer on a pi which I have already have a few of but I really want to try to run shairport-sync on the Mac mini which is also a file server,

anyone got any pointers?

any help really appreciated

regards

The build instructions seem reasonably clear - you’ll need to install the compiletc meta extension and ffmpeg7-dev will take care of the libav* development files.

From a quick look I’d guess you’ll also need to build libconfig.
