[Solved] Changing the font in emelfm.
« on: August 02, 2026, 08:58:35 AM »
Hi everybody!

I have looked around to find how to change the font in emelfm that i have become used to but I haven't found any answers. If someone could just lead me in the right direction I'd be very grateful. I'm using piCore so I decided to post the question here.

Kind Greetings,
meo

Hi meo
Just finishing the post I got an idea that led me to the answer so consider this thing solved.
Instead of just saying you solved it, you could have shared your
solution for the next person searching the forum for this issue.

For example:
Click the  "Configure"  button in Emelfm.
Click the  "Interface - Misc"  entry.
Adjust the  "List Font"  and/or the  "Output Font"  entries.

Hi Rich!

If it had worked I probably would hadve done it. My idea didn't solve the problem. It just showed that it is more difficult than I thought it would be. To Cut To The Chase: I couldn't solve it. Emelfm has it's original font.

Hi meo
Posting what you tried and what you observed, then adding that it didn't work
can also be useful.

If it was the wrong way to do it, other readers will know not to try it that way.

If it was the right way, and your technique was wrong, maybe we can fix that.

Right now all we know is you tried something and it didn't work.

The best way to get good help is posting what you tried and what the result was.
"It didn't work" is not a result.
"I got error such and such" is a result.
"The font I wanted didn't show up in the font dialog" is a result.

The worst way to get good help is withholding information and making us guess
what's really going on.

Are you using emelfm (gtk1) or emelfm2 (gtk2)?

I suspect the solution, should there be one, will be different.
