Hoping everyone's ok in Southern California
« on: May 23, 2026, 12:53:35 AM »
I just read a news article about 40 thousand people being evacuated because of a "temperature rise" and a "bulge" in a 7000 gallon chemical tank.

"The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) issued initial evacuation orders for the area surrounding the Garden Grove facility on Thursday afternoon, after reports of a tank temperature increase."

Looks like @roberts hasn't been active on the forum for a while, but isn't he from that area?

I heard today that  the tank cracked, and the crack cooled the tank. Self healing.

I read that.  I suspect there's more to the story, but at least it sounds like the danger level has gone down significantly.
