we quit answering ANY/EVERY unrecognized call over ten years ago and don't give our numbers out indiscriminately but still the calls persist.
it should be noted that just one visit to a healthcare provider(doctors office, filled out contact form) resulted in a definite increase in calls...
someway/somehow the database they put all your information in...is getting hacked/shared/sold/stolen/whateverthehell...
also agree with the commenter who said "Get Grandma to stop answering unknown calls and to understand that people can/will/do lie on the phone to them."
(naturally it isn't only "grandma/elderly/infirm/etc" but anyone/everyone who routinely answers any-call/every-call regardless of wherethehellitisfrom)
