i see that dCOREplus.iso is only 100 megs greater size that CorePLUS.iso of TCL
220 versus about 330......

i wonder what takes the sizes so large...?...from 16 megs TCL.iso....to 222 megs for COREplus.iso....when as far as i know corePLUS.iso is just adding WI FI with a remastering thing?

it seems a huge jump of 17 times in size..........

Hello again,

So am i right in assuming that dCorePlus.iso is a Linux distro that allows full access to the Debian repository and all of it's apps right.........?

at 350 megs for a gui environment Linux..... it's not bad (for a fully fledged linux)

Hi

I downloaded -------dCorePlus-jessie.iso------  179 megs....but it won't boot in a hyper V VM.  It never gets beyond decompressing the first stages from the after the boot prompt.

can you fix it?

thx

V

Hi.

Standard dCore images do not have the X window system or window managers.

dCorePlus images do contain wireless support and X along with a small window manager.  They are intended for a new user to be able to install dCore and then later choose just the packages they need and want.  They are large because of the X window system and the firmware they contain.

dCore/dCorePlus does allow access to the Debian or Ubuntu repos as well as custom prebuilt packages hosted here.
