sce-purge removes packages that are still needed
« on: February 25, 2016, 10:08:24 AM »
hi friends,

i noticed that there are a couple of packages that are regulary removed by sce-purge,
although that are still needed and not altered:

###
tc@box:~$ sce-debpurge
Fetching updated DEBINX...
Distro: debian

Syncing Debian Index: debian_jessie_main_i386_Packages
#################### 100.0% 0.0 kBps DONE

verifying download...checksum matches OK
used 11411456 local, fetched 0

Syncing Debian Security Index: debian_jessie_security_i386_Packages
#################### 100.0% 0.0 kBps DONE

verifying download...checksum matches OK
used 407552 local, fetched 0

Using the repo http://security.debian.org jessie main

Checking for deprecated DEB files...
Removing bash_4.3-11+b1_i386.deb...
Removing console-data_1.12-5_all.deb...
Removing icedove_38.6.0-1~deb8u1_i386.deb...
Removing libssh2-1_1.4.3-4.1_i386.deb...

All non current packages removed from /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/import/debs.

Total space freed by removing unneeded files: 35.61 MB
###

in my setup i experience this behavior regulary with bash, console-data and pretty often with icedove.

thank you for your help.

netnomad - seems to be fixed in my testing, let me know if it is not in yours.
