Listing and Searching extensions
« on: April 17, 2011, 06:53:55 AM »
I've been using tinycore linux for about 3 or 4 weeks and would like to learn how to do things in microcore linux without a gui, such as search for extensions, view extension info files, and download extensions.

Also I use the Apps Audit window to organise extensions at boot up. How do I do that in microcore ?

thanks :)

Start by reading the tinycorelinux.net core concepts and FAQ.  Then read the wiki.
MC has an appbrowser called ab.
There is also a nicer cli appbrowser called appbrowser-cli.

tce-load is also a command line tool.

Try this:
tce-load -iw appbrowser-cli
appbrowser-cli
