Install to distributable CD
« on: February 16, 2011, 11:23:14 PM »
I am working on way to make the game minecraft run off of  cd. It is java-based, and I figure that the less resources the system uses, the more resources the game can use.

Is it possible to backup the current configuration to a .iso?

If so, how?

The simplest way is probably to use this method:

However, don't just add extensions, add all files - the total configuration.

The simplest way is probably to back up your configuration, and include the backup file on the cd.

Put all applications in OnBoot, as things run slower from a cd than a hard drive.

After getting that to work, you may try a proper remaster. That would be more difficult.

It is a matter of experimenting.
Many people see what is. Some people see what can be, and make a difference.
