numpy

First off, I am a total noob at Linux, but so far things are okay. Except, I need to install numpy for a script I want to run, and I can't make heads or tails of the instructions they give to build it.

Has anyone else had success building this? If they have, could they post how they managed to do it?

i have submitted python-{numpy,nose,distribute} recently, expected to be in repo in a few days
