Recently, while searching for a small footprint equivalent to the note-taking apps in the TC3 repo I found this one.
http://notebook.wjduquette.com/svntrac.cgi/indexWhen decompressed it is only 4.7MB as a single executable. The only dependency it seems to need is libxft.tcz. It looks to be quite usable and includes good guidance. It might be of interest to users who find the existing apps a little too heavyweight.
