Supported Window Managers
« on: November 07, 2010, 02:09:43 PM »
I have made a small adjustment to the supported window managers to support the merging of the ondemand and ondeman.ico directories coming in v3.3rc3. It only ignores any .img files should have no impact to prior versions.

I admit that I am vision impaired, but with the e17.tcz I cannot see anything except a white screen and nothing visible on it. I ctrl-alt-bksp to exit. It does not seem as friendly as the other 6 supported window managers. Why?

I would think that should be in the .info file?
Why prompt to select from a blank screen?
Where is the System Tools menu per freedesktop standards?
Perhaps even more in .info is needed?

In the first time wizard u can choose the applications u want to be displayed in the ibar, anyway if u left click anywhere on the desktop u see the e17 menu and under application u can see all the system applications

There is no simple way of starting icewm-session or it's individual components within the framework of the desktop handling.

[EDIT:  Do not use desktop=icewm-session, does not work.]

Of course, I could make an icewm-full extension that simply uses a wrapper named "icewm-full' that invokes icewm-session.  That would allow a full icewm to be used by those in cloud mode as well as I could cut out the unused binaries out of the present icewm extension and make it smaller.

I will ponder it.

Moved the until now not used binaries into an icewm-full.tcz extension along with a "icewm-full" wrapper that calls on icewm-session.  This way there are no conflicting files or duplication, icewm.tcz is a dependency of icewm-full.tcz.  The main icewm.tcz extension behaves as normal but is now half it's former size.  So far all seems to work as expected.

Does TC support any WMs which can single-mouse-clik,
between complete-terminals, like xfce or [now bloated monster] kde;
like you can flip between pages of a paper-book?

Thanks,
