video-edit_avidemux.tcz
video-play_VLC.tcz
audio-edit_Audacity.tcz

linux, due to name opposition
end-user perspective; can see linux as a mess

application library; looks very confusing.
especially for those who haven't used linux applications before.
category naming offer for more convenience

this suggestion is a criticism since linuxu first day.

WiFi-drv_ ..
destop-app_
destop-lib_
GFX-DRV-AMD_  ..
GFX-lib_ ..
aud-DRV-rtl_  ..
aud-lib_ ..

game- ..
video-edit_ ..
video-edit_avidemux.tcz
video-play_VLC.tcz
audio-edit_ ..
audio-edit_Audacity.tcz
webb-_firefox-66

tcl can be better understood in this respect and can offer simpler and more convenience * .tcz with naming titles :) :) :)

it's very important how it looks from the outside to be universal

hi xor

the tcl apps browser has been extended to use tags  : http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,12499.0.html

also the "$VERSION".x/tcz/ list on the web has change a few times between plain text , html , html + scripts

hear appears* to be a script that generates a html index that can search for tags and other extension info

*i have not tested this script yet !

Like mocore has said APPS has all the needed search capability you’ll ever need, assuming we all know how to use it!

I will say that half the battle of finding anything is to know the name of what you’re looking for!
After that searching is easy

I recommend reading the Core Book before going any further..
