autoconf macro directory ?
« on: August 25, 2010, 10:07:22 AM »
I get the following message when running autogen.sh :

Code: [Select]
Please add the files
  codeset.m4 gettext.m4 glibc21.m4 iconv.m4 isc-posix.m4 lcmessage.m4
  progtest.m4
from the /aclocal directory to your autoconf macro directory
or directly to your aclocal.m4 file.

I have found all the files except "isc-posix.m4". But where am I supposed to put the copy?

It's stupid if you do things you have no clue of ...

Most of those seem to be in gettext.tcz. On isc-posix.m4 google says

# This file is not needed with autoconf-2.53 and newer.  Remove it in 2005.

The macro dir would be /usr/share/aclocal or /usr/local/share/aclocal, but the project in question needs to be fixed instead of applying a bandaid (getting an obsolete file).
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
