Do we need an alsa udev rule?
« on: August 14, 2010, 10:12:19 AM »
hi

I am starting to expand the sound wiki and thought I knew what I was doing until I discovered this.

/etc/udev/rules.d/25-alsa.rules sym links to
/usr/local/etc/udev/rules.d/25-alsa.rules

hmm ok so I cheated and deliberately deleted the "contents" of the rule ...added real file to /opt/.filetool.lst then rebooted.

I still have sound.

I am wondering if we need to have an udev rule for alsa?

submitted in case we can make it tinyer

regards
