Network connection problems Neoware
« on: February 22, 2009, 06:31:40 PM »
Hi,
I've got thin client Neoware EON 2000E with network card onboard.

After the boot completes there is no network connection. I'm connected to a typical router with dhcp turned on. What do I need to do to get the network connected?

-dmesg

Please also post "ifconfig eth0"

-ifconfig eth0
eth1    Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:E0:C5:64:3A:9D
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:15000 Metric:1
           RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
           RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
           collisions:0 txquelen:1000

I haven't connection between router and network card. Cable and network card are fine, under Windows works normally.

I was demo'ing a mini-itx via system with a rtl8139C during the Scale7x expo and it worked fine.
When I came home it did not. Changed the cable and is working great here.
Note that the rtl8139 wants to connect at 100Mbps
