Suggestion for download area
« on: June 24, 2010, 02:45:05 AM »
Sometimes when I grab just "tinycore.gz" for the latest update from the "Distribution Files" section of the download site, I get 'kernel panic' etc. Putting aside the question of whether the kernel is unduly susceptible to anxiety attacks and needs to get out more, make a few friends, and develop some confidence, I try downloading again. I get a file with a different number of bytes and then it works. So, please, could we post MD5 checksums for the "Distribution Files"? Thanks for considering this.

Good idea. Until then, use "gzip -t tinycore.gz" to run gzip's integrity test.

OK. I have posted the md5.txt files for both 2.11 and 3.0 distribution file areas.

Thanks! (That gzip option is new to me ... love it.)
