I'm not trying to be snarky, but I've never attached much importance to boot time, especially for a desktop PC. Unless you're constantly shutting down and re-booting I would think that other aspects of a distro would be more important. Of course you don't want to wait and wait for a boot but 10 seconds doesn't seem like enough of a difference to worry over.
