winecfg (wineasio) does not retain configuration
« on: April 17, 2010, 06:17:35 AM »
Hi
I succesfully installed wineasio, and tinycore seems to keep it after reboot too, though it does not show up in the menu among jack and lmms.
Now I'm trying to execute some windows asio applications.
I need to "register" them before, with winecfg.
Well, I add them to winecfg but it does not retain the configuration so these applications bear some asio error and no sound is heard.
Can someone help me with this winecfg issue?
Thanks in advance.

Hi I don't have the answer to your question (sorry) but maybe you could help me with wineasio... After compiling and installing (make and make install) I run regsvr32 anf I get "Failed to load wineasio.dll"... Is there something missing? Or am I doing something wrong?

PS: sorry for my english, I'm from Argentina  :D

I noticed that compiling can be unnecessary in certain cases, so just put the wineasio.dll and wineasio.dll.so in the program's directory. If one of the two is missing just copy it adding or cutting the .so extension and keep both files.

However if it turns to be necessary to compile then put the above two files with similar names in the compile directory.

Hope it helps.
