Currently only works for flwm.
I am working to bring it to other DE/WM.

The whole OnDemand system or the functionality behind the OnDemand button? Is there nothing I could do right now in the command-line (in XFCE) to launch an OnDemand app?

Look at .wmx/OnDemand and .wmx/Applications.

I am just finishing coding it. On demand comming to XFCE and LXDE in 2.11rc1 via menu like in FLWM..
Supported in the base Tiny Core system and part of the the goal of Universal OnDemand.

My plan is to have Universal OnDemand for all supported WMs during the 2.11 release cycle.
So, yes, fluxbox, hackedbox, jwm, etc.
