MPlayer-svn-gtk2.tcz messes up file ownership
« on: March 31, 2010, 08:37:42 PM »
There is a problem with MPlayer-svn-gtk2.tcz as discussed in this forum thread: http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?topic=5414.0.  The extension does something to file ownership of your home directory.  This extension needs a new install script that will not affect the home directory file ownership.

So much has changed since that extension was last touched, it is in need of an update in it's file handling.

Thanks, will update to current standards.

I've since tried the nodeps version of MPlayer, and it works OK.  So that is a good interim solution for me.  Maybe not as good for someone with low RAM.
