A vexing problem with wicd and the copy2fs.flg option
« on: March 30, 2010, 08:06:56 AM »
Greetings All

Just having a bit of consternation with wicd and the copy2fs.flg option…

When wicd is loop mounted, and “sudo wicd-start” is run from the cli, starting wicd from the wbar shows the wired and wireless networks.

However, if the copy2fs.flg is invoked, then upon reboot “sudo wicd-start” is run, wicd is started as before, this time only the wired network appears. The wireless network is not present as an option within wicd.

At this stage of the install only these wicd changes have been executed:

echo "usr/local/etc/wicd" >> /opt/.filetool.lst
echo "usr/local/var/lib/wicd/configurations" >> /opt/.filetool.lst

I look forward to receiving your most learned comments.

Miller.
