Hi All,
I have 8 different Linux distro's installed and running on my machine.
I would like to use Tiny Core when I just need to do some quick surfing.
As a result I would like to use Firefox to view on-line videos (full screen) and listen to on-line radio.
I installed VLC but even when I point to it from FF it does not work.
I simply get a message saying that downloads have been completed.
Here is a link to the on-line radio that I am trying to listen to:
http://www.sky.fm/the80s/I click on the music type that I want to hear, then MP3 stream, then broadband.
It is here that FF gives me the option to brows to the correct program to use.
My path is sda11 > tce > vlc.tcl
Nothing happens.
In my other Linux distros the path is USR > BIN > VLC
With Tiny Core I don't see just VLC, but the file with the .tcl extension or one with that plus .deb
I have VLC installed and it appears as an icon at the bottom of the screen so I don't know why it won't work.
I have alsa installed and have run config in the terminal.
I have also installed MPlayer but that won't work either.
For videos, it tells me that I need Flash and I have read that you have to install Flash 9 manually.
Well I can't even download it.
I click on the file and select save, but FF doesn't even ask me where to save (it should I have it set that way in the preferences).
I have tried to download it from several sources but no joy.
Can someone please help me out here.
I am sure TCL would be an amazing distro (I like how quickly it boots) if only I could get it working properly.
I would greatly appreciate any help that you may give.
