user idle time
« on: October 21, 2009, 08:35:51 AM »
I have been searching around and trying to find a way to get the idle time of a user properly and haven't had any luck. I have found solutions for other distros that include screen savers and you can hook into Xlibs to get the idle time but it's not available in TC.

Is there any way to be able to get the idle time of a user ?

Thanks

Anyone interested can use xscreensaver with the xscreensaver-watch command and write a small script to check for "BLANK" actions.

Thanks.
