how to force a non support RESOLUTION IN XVESA

is it possible to force Xvesa to  support a resolution which is not listed in listmodes ?
please suggest .

Only for some Intel chips, using the 915resolution tool.

Otherwise, Xorg is needed.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

I have found that you can force a resolution not shown by listmodes.  I am using 900x500 now instead of my normal 800x600.  But I don't recommend it as a practice unless you know the capabilities of your hardware.
