probably pidgin needs a re-up, i can not see most of the its icons, and the smiles that they send me i never see.
I use microcore with xorg and openbox, maybe it is crucial to know?

Try installing shared-mime-info and see if that helps.

ok, now it seems to work !
shared-mime-info must become a dependency of pidgin??

Another small problem is that i can't paste code from Firefox to pidgin (but can do the opposite) and i don'thear any sound.
