Please bring back tce files
« on: May 13, 2025, 08:50:48 AM »
I don't have space in my 2 GB patrition anymore.

If I use 7z or paq9 archiver I reduce space with the highest compression.
There could be ./tce/onboot and /tce/ondemand dictioneries.
I don't have to worry if I destroy my ext2 pendrive becouse after booting, it will be unmounted.

Option #1: Use a network share to host the files you want to use on your machine

Option #2: Have your USB pen-drive supply the files you need on your machine

  • Mount the pendrive or network share to /mnt/share (example)
  • Use tce-load to load files from /mnt/share/tce
  • /opt/bootlocal.sh is a good place to launch this from

Good luck!

Tce extensions will be also usefull when booting from CD-R or DVD-RW.
I can release cdrom tray after boot.
