Hello Forum,

.......does anybody know a lightweight alternative WAY to comment
on videos while in your YouTube account instead of using their webpage?

in other words, another web page that lets you log into your
youtube account but only supports the comments ASPECT..

if you know, can you let me know......thanks

ps....i know  a lightweight way for doing the above idea for searching  YT videos and watching them .....

Extremely lightweight way.........with this site below,

https://www.tonvid.com

........but you DO need to do a few steps logging into your google account and setting an APi key......... but it's real easy and fast to do and ONCE only

........i then grab the youtube video link from any search i do in the above site
and i use either YOUTUBE-dl or VLC to open that link & actually get the true stream url link ........

i then open that true link inside the FFPLAY media player..........which uses zero cpu to play YT videos even when they are LIVE youtube STREAMS .......(versus 20 percent cpu any other way for playing YT vids)

but non of this above allows me to make YT comments.....?..only READ other peoples comments........?

thx
C

Hello Forum

mystified...........does anybody know how you get youtube video notifications on the "mobile YT web page" when you are logged into your YT account and any video channels you subscribe to "post"....?

it doesn't seem straight obvious ?......   .......O__o......

i  am thinking they are just Stacked at the start of your standard video icons listing behind any other recent videos when you are logged into your account......."  clicking your "home button?" (your account button?).....shows that?

THE  YT  MOBILE  APP has them.(notifications)..........but i am talking about the YT MOBILE web page.

thanks
C

do you just click "subscriptions" and anything you are subscribed to that has recently posted will be first listed there in logica order?

i see on the youtube TAB BAR of keywords it has "recently uploaded"
and perhaps that just refers to video channels that recently posted stuff UP and to which you are subscribed?

OK forum

on Laptop machines etc there is a way around the OP..........

your desktop browser will alert you to youtube notifications  if you arrange it
to

although i don't know if it stores them.......or they just click away........

Thanks
