evolution mail client issues
« on: December 22, 2023, 12:29:03 AM »
using TCL Corepure64 14.0 and upon "download and load" evolution mail client errors with
Code: [Select]
evolution: error while loading shared libraries: liblber-2.4.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

ldd reports both liblber-2.4.so.2 and libldap-2.4.so.2 missing

ps-went researching this and fell down some "other" rabbitholes so still open to ideas/suggestions

It looks like the recent openldap update broke things - openldap from tc-13.x would work.

not sure if i did everything correctly but it failed again with the same error/failure messages

i had saved the contents of /tmp/tce/optional so i repopulated and loaded everything locally except for redownloading and loading what i hope is the correct openldap(dated-20231212).

maybe i didn't do everything/something correctly? theories? thoughts?

i did grab my tcl-13.1 corepure64 thumbdrive and successfully downloaded and loaded and ran evolution and palemoon, so even us noobs get it right once in a while...sigh....

Recompiled evolution posted - in very limited testing it seems to work.

Note also that pcre was added to the gspell, libcanberra and telepathy-glib dep files
