Hello
hope this message is in the right forum
is Dosbox a particularly hungry program?...what cpu and ram does it need?
how much power does it need to run well? (so that it could execute some arbitary
DOS based program)

Hi cast-fish
I happened to have dosbox on an 800Mhz machine running TC3.4. According to top, it consumed
about 66Mbytes of RAM and half the CPU time. Last I heard, all TC apps run on 486 or better.

Have a look at this handy chart from the DOSBox wiki:
http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/System_Requirements
As you can see, it depends on what you need to run and what hardware you have.
DOSBox is pretty efficient, and is pretty forgiving considering what it has to do.

Yes
Perhaps the Rasberry Pi computer will have no problem running Dosbox. Meaning
a lot of
DOS based
music programs can be used...like trackers
that was the idea...but ofcourse, there are infact many many Dos programs
that a pretty useful.
