I have always been searching for the right Linux distribution on my EeePC 1000HA, but I could never find one that really suited me well. I love Tiny Core for it's simplicity and how lightweight it is. It's amazing! Well, I've always had the thought of running Tiny Core on my netbook, but I could never figure out how I could get used to it or how I could get it set up perfectly. I noticed that there is no system tray, so I was wondering how I could see Pidgin, XChat, or anything else running in the background. I was also wondering how you could get a volume control applet like GNOME, XFCE, or KDE has. I would find it to get annoying after a while to use alsamixer through the command line. Other questions kept popping up in my mind like "How do you uninstall extensions after I have installed them?".
Would anybody here who has an EeePC with Tiny Core on it like to tell me how they have it set up? I would be happy to see screenshots if that's possible.
